All watchmakers who work in the Patek Philippe worldwide Authorised Service Centers are regularly trained in The Patek Philippe Manufacture in Geneva in our dedicated training Department to ensure repair and service quality throughout the world.
There are five training levels for watchmakers and five maintenance levels at the Service Centers.
Depending on the nature of the work to be done and the caliber of watch to be serviced, a certain level of skill is required. Some watches will need to return to our Grand Complications workshop in Geneva. That is the case for repairs carried out on functions related to Grand Complications such as on tourbillon, minute-repeater or split-seconds chronograph for which no specific permanent technical training exist.
This may have an impact on the time required to service the timepiece, and can range from 21 to 35 working days, depending on the caliber of watch.
