Minute repeater tourbillon wristwatch with dial in miniature painting on enamel.
The first minute repeater with a dial in Grand feu miniature painting on enamel, this limited edition depicting a stag-hunting scene celebrates the art of azulejo, the famous blue and white glazed ceramic tilework that first appeared in Portugal and Spain in the sixteenth century.
To create this unique trompe l’oeil that even reproduces the relief of the tiles, the enameler painted the picture in monochrome, building it up in small deft touches with a range of blue oxides on a ground of white enamel. The Patek Philippe logo is also hand-painted in enamel. Each dial required about twelve firings at temperatures ranging from 800°C to 830°C. Blued white-gold pear-shaped hands point to the time.
Housed in a white-gold case, the caliber R TO 27 PS manually wound movement with minute repeater, tourbillon and small seconds may be admired through the sapphire-crystal case back. The watch also come with an interchangeable back in solid white gold.
