Dome table clock in grisaille au blanc de Limoges enamel and cloisonné enamel. Featuring Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, and Big Ben, this piece evokes the atmosphere of Britain’s capital and its most symbolic buildings. Design worked using the rare technique of grisaille enameling au blanc de Limoges, enriched with 24k gold powder. White blanc de Limoges enamel is applied on a dark enameled ground with a tiny brush then drawn using a needle to create a dramatic monochrome effect. Dome depicts the Tower’s ravens and Victorian gas street lamps silhouetted against the London sky. Dial displays the historical city’s coat of arms, the flag supported by two dragons, in cloisonné enamel, using 5 m gold wire. Powered by caliber 17’” PEND mechanical movement, rewound by an electric motor. Height: 213.5 mm. Unique piece created for the 2015 Watch Art Grand Exhibition in London. 2015.
