Philippe Stern (1938 - 2026)
It is with great sadness that the Patek Philippe Directoire is announcing the death of its Honorary President Philippe Stern, who passed away on 14 June 2026, in his 88th year.
A pioneering and visionary spirit, the man who served as President of Patek Philippe from 1993 to 2009 left an indelible mark on the history of our family-owned manufacture, providing it with a global standing. A leading figure in the watch industry, he also played a pivotal role in promoting and ensuring the success of the great art of Swiss watchmaking.
