Open-faced pocket watch with miniature enamel, hand-engraving, and wood marquetry. Mixed techniques pocket watch: engraving, enameling and wood marquetry. The marquetry on the owl’s wings and the branch required a total of 220 pieces from 8 different species of wood. White gold case. The snow-covered landscape background required 80 hours of hand- engraving. The owl's head, underbelly and feet, plus the leaf are in miniature enamel. Enameled gold dial, white gold applied Breguet numerals, white gold hands. Bow decorated with hand-engraved jewelry leaves. Crown set with a moonstone cabochon (~ 0.24 ct). Pocket watch stand in wood and white gold with decorative jewelry leaves. Diameter: 42 mm. Caliber 17’’’ LEP PS IRM. Manual winding. Power-reserve indicator. Seconds subdial. Unique piece. 2012.
