Extract from our Archives

An "Extract from the Archives" is a document which provides you with the meticulously kept information registered in the Patek Philippe Archives since 1839. It can be requested for any Patek Philippe timepiece produced or sold up to 1989. This document can only be issued once per timepiece, per period of five years.

This document states the information kept in the Patek Philippe Archives (type of watch, movement number, caliber, case number, style, type of dial, date of manufacture, date of sale, type of bracelet, other information if applicable). In no way can it be considered as a proof of authenticity, nor as a warranty.

This service costs 500 Swiss francs and can only be ordered through our order form. To obtain an Extract from the Archives, you must indicate the movement and case numbers of your timepiece. The "archive extract" will be sent to you within ten weeks of your order having been confirmed.

Instructions for uploading images

In order to ensure the correct processing of the Extract from the Archives request for your timepiece, we ask you to carefully read the following instructions, as well as our legal notices.

Serial numbers are essential information without which no request can be processed. The movement number is engraved on the movement of your watch, the case number is most often engraved on the inside of the case back. It is therefore necessary to open the case in order to be able to read the serial numbers. Whether it is a wristwatch, pocket watch or clock, we strongly recommend that you entrust this operation exclusively to an official Patek Philippe retailer, distributor or authorized service center.

A series of images for each request is necessary for its processing. One or more images that do not comply with these instructions may considerably delay the processing of your request, or even justify a refusal of processing. In general, each image should:

  • (clearly represent the required view of the timepiece)
  • (the inscriptions must be clearly legible)
  • (the colors must truly reflect the timepiece)
  • (The image must be in a suitable resolution.)
  • (The maximum size per image is limited to 1MB.)

You will be guided during the registration of your request for uploading your images according to the type of timepiece. The following special views will be required:
