Map of The World

Pocket globe This unique piece in white gold, representing a planisphere, expresses all the beauty of the continental plates and the complex geological structure of the ocean floor. The engraver hand-chiseled the sea bed, which the enameller then coated with translucent blue enamel. Using a palette of transparent enamels in 4 colors, he then succeeded in creating a striking effect of volume in the mid-ocean ridges and the oceanic trenches. The enameling required 8 firings, at a temperature approaching 775°C, after which the engraver stepped in again, to refine the continental plates, which appear in relief. The dial was decorated with hand-executed guilloché work. The paths of the meridians and the parallels, engraved on this decor, shine through translucent blue enamel, according to the technique of flinqué enameling. The enameling required 6 firings at a temperature of about 765°C. Applied Breguet numerals and faceted Dauphine-style hands, all in white gold, indicate the time. A blue sapphire cabochon (0.34 ct) adorns the crown. This pocket watch is delivered with a stand in white gold, inspired by the structure of a celestial dual ellipse. Its oval base, in blue quartz, is embellished with a blue sapphire cabochon (0.36 ct). This piece is also accompanied by a chain in white gold suspending a medallion in champlevé enamel presenting a compass rose. This piece houses a caliber 17’’’ LEP PS manually wound movement with small seconds.
