Quality and Fine Workmanship

The Finest Timepieces in the World

In line with the spirit of its founders, Patek Philippe has continued its mission to design and manufacture the finest watches in the world since 1839.

Our Creations

Our independent family-owned company offers an incredibly rich and diverse collection of watchmaking creations, produced in limited quantity to ensure they respect our extremely high standards for quality.

Wristwatches

Before the First World War and its wide adoption by soldiers, the wristwatch was regarded as a women's accessory. It has since established itself as the most practical and efficient way to wear a watch. With more than 150 references, spanning 10 major collections and equipped with one of our fifty in-house movements, our wristwatches accommodate all types of needs and watch enthusiasts.

Pocket Watches

For decades, pocket watches were the main stage on which we demonstrated our skills. Today, as guardians of watchmaking artistry, we are one of the last manufactures that perpetuates the craft of making pocket watches as part of our current collection. Produced in small numbers, their aesthetic finesse remains a source of fascination and inspiration.

Clocks

We have always been particularly attached to the safeguarding of traditional crafts and Genevan watchmaking heritage. Faithful to this commitment, we enhance our collection of outstanding timepieces each year with new dome clocks and table clocks that perfectly embody our mastery of Rare Handcrafts artistry.

Complications

From chronographs to chiming watches, tourbillons, calendars, world time or astronomical watches, the world of watchmaking complications is one of infinite marvels. Today, we offer the largest collection of complicated watches in regular production, continuously reasserting our unparalleled excellence and our position as the undisputed masters in this supreme domain.

The Patek Philippe Archives

All watches produced since our creation are listed in our company’s establishment books. Upon ordering an Extract from the Archives, you will receive a document detailing all the meticulously kept information we registered since 1839 (type of watch, movement number and type, case number, type of dial, date of manufacture, date of sale, type of bracelet and other available information).

Understanding our Watches

We produce the internal and external components required for the creation of our exceptional timepieces. From movements to dials, cases or bracelets and everything in between, we master the entire development and production process, which allows us to ensure that our watches perfectly embodiment the quality we stand for.

The Movements

We craft mechanical watches featuring automatic or manual winding, and some quartz watches. Our movements are marked by their distinct code summarizing their features and complications.

The Dials

We have a very special relationship with dials. The Stern brothers, who acquired Patek Philippe in 1932, were owners of Cadrans Stern Frères – considered “the” Swiss dial specialists. Today, crafting our dials remains a balance of techniques and crafts to create beauty with legibility. Our dials interpret the hundreds of components that lie beneath them, and make sense of our most complex complications.

The Cases

Among the many fine details that distinguish our watches, the design, crafting, and finishing of a case contribute profoundly to the impression that a timepiece makes. The skills of our artisans are essential to achieve the character of a case using different shapes, sizes, colors and materials, and by magnifying its beauty through various techniques such as guilloché, gemsetting, engraving or polishing.

The Bracelets

A watch strap or bracelet must be as aesthetically pleasing as it is comfortable to wear, all the while remaining easy to manipulate. As our bracelets can be made of leather, polymer, composite material, metal, or synthetic fabric, they require different treatments and techniques to allow us to satisfy our criteria in order to provide the best possible wearing experience for our customers.

The Patek Philippe Seal

All of our mechanical timepieces are produced according to the uniquely demanding quality criteria of the Patek Philippe Seal. Developed under the stewardship of our Honorary President Philippe Stern, it is an emblem of horological excellence that exceeds any standards of the Swiss watch industry and reaffirms our independence.
