In 2008, Patek Philippe celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Golden Ellipse with a new version of the jumbo model (34 x 39.5 mm) which for the first time was crafted in platinum and with a sunburst blue gold dial with gold applied hour markers.

All watches in the Golden Ellipse collection are equipped with our legendary caliber 240, an ultra-thin mechanical movement with automatic winding. With an impressive thickness of 2.53mm only, it features a 48-hour power reserve, an off-center 22K gold minirotor, and respects the criteria of the Patek Philippe Seal - like all our mechanical watches.
