White Peacock

A rare bird This limited edition of ten watches in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel presents a white peacock, a rare variety of the blue peacock, whose lack of color, arising from a distinctive genetic characteristic, symbolizes spiritual harmony and calm. To trace the contours of the feathers and the eyespots (ocelli), the enameller used about 63.5 cm of gold wire (~0.43 g). He then rendered all the details of this complex plumage using 21 shades of enamel, mainly transparent, but with some opaque, semi-opaque or opalescent. Delicate hand-engraving produced the iridescent reflections and sense of movement in the feathers. Each dial required between 11 and 12 firings at temperatures ranging from 800°C to 850°C. The rose-gold Golden Ellipse case contains a solid case back and harmonious proportions inspired by the ancient golden section. The hours and minutes are displayed by cheveu-style hands, stamped in rose gold. This iconic watch houses a caliber 240 ultra-thin self-winding movement. The alligator leather strap in shiny rose pink is endowed with a prong buckle in rose gold reflecting the elliptical shape of the case.
