A lifetime of artistry and skill

Grand complications

The pinnacle of watchmaking

At Patek Philippe, Grand Complications are the supreme test of our watchmaking expertise. They are mastered not only for their technical complexity, but also for their aesthetics and fine finishings.

The music of time

Chiming watches

Although the Minute repeater is one of the most challenging Grand Complications to master, we always strive to push the boundaries of technical excellence even further, by combining chiming mechanisms with other complications. These timepieces are the perfect expression of the Patek Philippe tradition of true innovation.
always on time

Perpetual calendars

The perpetual calendar automatically recognizes the different lengths of months with 30 and 31 days as well as the leap years and requires correction only once every 400 years. Our collection of perpetual calendars offers a wide range of design elements with analog or aperture displays and dial configurations. They are also married with other functions such as chronographs or minute repeaters.

For us, each new Grand Complication is an opportunity, to push the limits, surprise the world, by showing what we can do.

Chronographs

A challenging complication to master, our first wrist chronograph was already a split-seconds model made in 1923. Today, we continue to offer a wide range of chronographs with additional complications, including split-seconds chronographs. A fine and unique example of a precise high-performance movement is the tenth-of-a-second chronograph.

Celestial watches

Celebrating Patek Philippe’s great tradition of astronomical mastery, Celestial watches poetically feature a sky chart with moon phases. Among twelve complications, the iconic Sky Moon Tourbillon also features astronomical displays.
A rich heritage

Complicated Desk Clocks

Patek Philippe perpetuates its rich heritage by drawing inspiration from desk clocks produced in the 1920s. To effectively combine tradition with innovation, we developed a desk clock with a manually wound caliber offering exceptional performance and the user-friendliness of a timepiece designed for the 21st century.

Peerless mastery

A wide selection of complicated watches

From minute repeaters, split-seconds chronographs, to perpetual calendars and astronomical watches, we offer the largest collection of complicated watches in regular production, continuously reasserting our unparalleled excellence and our position as the undisputed masters in this supreme domain.

The ultimate achievement

Supercomplications

Patek Philippe holds a long heritage in creating “Supercomplications”. The Henry Graves Jr. Supercomplication, created in 1933, revolutionized watchmaking with 24 complications. It remained the most complex watch until Calibre 89 was created in 1989, followed 11 years later by Star Caliber 2000. Our mastery in crafting highly sophisticated timepieces has cemented our legacy in creating some of the world's most intricate watches, such as the Grandmaster Chime. These extraordinary feats of mechanical engineering can be admired in the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva.
The Grandmaster Chime is the most complicated Patek Philippe wristwatch ever made, hosting twenty complications.
